What are Perks in Golf Clash?
Perks are a new feature that lets you apply Bonuses (Positive Stat Adjustments) to the Clubs in your Club Bags. In exchange, your Clubs will also receive Penalties (Negative Stat Adjustments).
This system is all about strategy—Perks can give your Clubs a powerful boost, but you’ll need to balance them carefully with the downsides.
There are three Perk Types.
- Star Perk: typically boosts Woods and Long Irons.
- Tri Perk: typically boosts Drivers, Wedges, and Short Irons.
- Shield Perk: typically boosts Rough Irons and Sand Wedges.
Only one of each Perk Type can be slotted into a Club Bag. You can equip the same Perk in multiple Club Bags, but each Bag will only benefit from the Perks slotted in it.
Modes that don’t support Perks
- CPC
- Golden Shot
- Road to Fame
Where you can apply Perks in-game

- Choose a Perk and select Equip.
- To make changes, select a slotted Perk to Swap or Remove.
You can also apply Perks in the Club Bag menu.
- From the Main Menu, go to Club Bag.
- Select the Club Bag you want to equip Perks to.
- Select the empty Perk Slot (Shield, Star, or Tri).
- Choose a Perk and select Equip.
- To make changes, select a slotted Perk to Swap or Remove.
The Club's Info Screen will show the changes the Perk has made to the stats.
When do Perks unlock?
- Tour 6: Perk Slots and the Perk Menu become visible (but greyed out).
- Tour 8: You unlock the ability to equip your first Perk.
- Tour 9: Unlock the second Perk Slot.
- Tour 10: Unlock the third Perk Slot.
If you earn a Perk before Tour 6, the menu and slots will appear early.
How do Perks affect Clubs?
Each Perk you apply will adjust your Club’s stats in two ways:
- Bonuses improve one or more stats, like Power or Accuracy.
- Penalties lower one or more stats as a trade-off.
Perks are designed to be strategic. Some Bonuses can even exceed the Club's normal stat caps, while Penalties can reduce stats to a minimum of 0.
Perks are tied to Club Types internally (like Woods, Irons, or Wedges), but this isn’t shown in-game. Instead, Perk Types (Shield, Star, Tri) act as a guide for which Perks you can slot.
Can you remove or change a Perk after applying it?
Yes, to remove or swap a perk after applying it,
- Go back to the Club Bag.
- Select the Perk.
- Choose Remove Perk or Swap Perk.
How to earn Perks
Perk Keys are earned by playing in Expert+ Tournaments, winning Debuff, Raise The Stakes, and Higher Tour Difficulty matches. Use Perk Keys to buy Perk Chests in the Store.
- Low Value Perk Chests contain Common and Rare Perks.
- High Value Perk Chests contain Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary Perks, with a Rare and Epic guaranteed.
Each Perk has a Rarity (Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary), which affects how powerful its Bonuses and Penalties are—and how long it takes to level up.
- Level up Perks by earning Perk Cards from Chests.
- Leveling up improves Bonuses and reduces Penalties.
- Higher rarity Perks take more time and resources to level.
What is Equipment Level?
Equipment Level is based on the number and rarity of Clubs you’ve leveled up. It determines which Perk Pools you can earn from:
- Equipment Level 1 = Perk Pool 1
- Equipment Level 2 = Perk Pools 1 & 2
- up to Equipment Level 5 = All 5 Pools.
You’ll see your Equipment Level in the Club Bag, along with an info button that updates as you progress past Tour 8.
